Singapore｜Ah Boy Nasi Lemak

This is now officially my favourite nasi lemak. For $3.50 for the chicken wing set, it is really ultimate indulgence for a fraction of the price charged by the more well known brands. They use basmati rice that is cooked perfectly, fried chicken that is infused with lemongrass and spices, and so crispy and juicy (and trust me that one piece is not enough) , and sambal chilli that is satisfying even eaten on its own. It is so good.

A couple of young men ran this stall, and surprisingly, the food was good. They are usually sold out by noon as I've arrived around noon and there wasn't much food left. Managed to try chicken rendang and fried chicken. Not too bad. The sambal chilli was perfect and overall was a great place of nasi lemak by our young hawker.

Better than average hawker fare. Have tried all their lemak and I like the wing set best. Least salty, which is great for me but my hubs prefer the rendang with more flavour. Love the basmati rice, great twist so I can finish the whole plate of nasi without feeling like a puffer fish for the rest of the day. Our go-to for weekly lunch but got to be there early because they sell out real fast! Missed them a couple of times!
