Super Chilli Pan Mee: A Hidden Culinary Gem in Taman Connaught 🌶️🍜 If you're seeking a culinary adventure that exceeds expectations, look no further than Super Chilli Pan Mee in Taman Connaught. Admittedly, my first impressions mirrored those of any other Pan Mee stall, leaving me skeptical about the hype surrounding this place. However, a single bite of their signature chilli pan mee shattered all my preconceived notions, which led me to immediately write this review after my meal with my empty bowls to prove it. Haha 😂 The noodles, cooked to perfection, boasted the ideal al dente texture, harmonizing flawlessly with the runny egg that infused every strand with an unparalleled richness. With each mouthful, the medley of freshly fried anchovies, minced meat, and luscious pork lard elevated the dish to an entirely new level, leaving an indelible mark on my taste buds. Surpassing all expectations, Super Chilli Pan Mee sets itself apart from competitors across Taman Connaught, KL, and even Ampang. What's more, the absence of excessive salt and MSG left me surprisingly unthirsty post-meal, a testament to the care and quality that goes into every dish. Don't miss out on their Mee Hoon Kueh soup version, featuring a delectable runny egg that transforms the soup into a creamy, flavorful masterpiece, enriched by the subtle textures of minced pork and anchovies. And for an added treat, their fried dumplings, delicately crafted with thin, perfectly cooked skins, are a must-try delight. With the founders and the next generation maintaining the quality and standards, Super Chilli Pan Mee has rightfully earned its place as a must-visit spot for all food enthusiasts. Don't hesitate to visit and experience this hidden gem for yourself – you won't be disappointed.

My favourite place for chilli pan mee, the whole combination of crunchy ikan bilis, savoury minced pork, crispy pork garlic, shallots, kickass chilli flakes and runny egg just works for us. Mix it all up for a hugely satisfying lunch. Comes with a bowl of manicai (sayur manis) soup. Chilli Pan mee (RM12.50), fried wantan (RM9.55), all washed down with a refreshing Mango Yoyoice (RM4.80). Restaurant is air-conditioned. Parking is a bit difficult to find in this area during morning/lunch time so need to Ronda a few rounds to find one.

As good as (or even better than) the original Kin Kin Chili Pan Mee, don't need to travel so far from where I live for the same dish. The noodles are cooked just right, anchovies are fresh and crunchy, minced pork not too salty, crunched onion/garlic powder works so well with the other ingredients and lends texture to the dish. The crunchy aromatic chili is an add on by yourself at the table(which I like because you can adjust the spiciness yourself) ... The poached egg is also cooked right and runny like it should be. Hands down better than any other pan mee in the area. Waste no more time.. Go eat this.
