Singapore｜San Bao Ban Mian 三宝板面

Wow, came here looking for late dinner options and chanced upon this. Surprised with a 4.2 star rating, I came here to give it a go. Both my bf and I agree that this is probably one of the best tasting dry ban mian we’ve had. The sauce was different. The sauces of other dry ban mian is a lot thicker. This ban mian sauce is similar to green view mee Hoon kway at Far East Plaza. Light and flavourful, not too salty. Noodle texture is chewy but not as Q as the one at green view, likely because it’s machine made and not handmade. I’m not a fan of chonky mince meat because it usually comes with a “meaty smell”. I was a little apprehensive at first but was pleasantly surprised at how fresh it was and it went well with the sauce. The egg added a different consistency to the sauce which I absolutely loved. The only downside is that it might be hot in the afternoon? I came to have it at about 9.30pm and it was cooling and rather quiet (white noise). If you’re into late dinners, the atmosphere’s okay. Overall, I really recommend their dry ban mian but again.. to each their own taste hahaha! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Solid. Dry ban mien here is solid! Known as their signature dish, they give a good amount of veg and minced meat that went perfectly with their sauce and chilli mix. Gyoza was really packed tightly under the fried skin, full of fillings. Can tell that they made it themselves. Will be back again maybe to try the soup version.

I eat here all the time and it’s so good!! Tried their tom yum u mian , red glutinous rice wine chicken mee sua and the dumpling ramen, all so good !! Was shocked at the size of the dumplings, so worth it!
