Lim Hai Sheng Carrot Cake 📍724 Ang Mo Kio Ave 6, #01-09 Central Market & Food Centre, Singapore 560724 🍜 Food wise: A good Carrot cake! Fragrant black sauce on the aromatic egg, surrounding the soft and firm carrot cakes, not much wok hey taste, but it is good! This sweet and savoury plate of goodness was mesmerizing with the glaze and was pretty addictive. ✨ Ambience wise: Hawker Centre! The standard busy hawker that one can expect, was not exactly clean but had queues here and there. 🤵🏻 Service wise: Staff did their job. 💵 Price wise: Come in $3/$4/$5 Compared with the other carrot cakes, this was not the best but hmm it can make the cut for being the runner up. Recommended!

Got the mixed one for $4, the smallest portion. Enough for my lunch. The carrot cake was crispy on the outside yet soft, light and moist on the inside. I enjoyed it. I will be back when I'm in the area.

One of my favourite Carrot Cake in Ang Mo Kio, and perhaps in Singapore. I will usually order the Carrot Cake (White Cake) here. What I like is that it is crispy on the outside and moistly soft on the other side. Savoury delicious. I have ordered the Black Carrot Cake once. It went very perfect with the sambal chilli here. Sweetness paired with sambal tangy taste, and the result transforms one to a different taste dimension. Then again, taste habits aren't that easy to manipulate. I still love the White Carrot Cake a lot here for the savoury taste and crispy texture.
