Gave 5 stars as i think the current 3+ is definitely too low. Some minor details that i like such as the eggs are stir fried whole rather than beaten, enough chai por, garnish with spring onion. Cake is hand made by the owner and fried in big chunks. They serve both black and white, and $3 for the biggest portion which was really generous. Not the best i have eaten, but good enough for me to order again if i come here

They make their own radish cakes from scratch at Heng Leong Carrot Cake. I am impressed. A huge plate of black n white fried carrot cake is only $3. However, to some, it may be too soft, too moist. The sweetness is just right, not too overwhelming. It’s approaching CNY (they have not increased the price), and it’s only $3 - I will eat the dish often. Famous Pek Kio Market Handmade $2 Carrot Cake. While others are using factory supplied, this stall is still making their carrot cakes from scratch. Freshly made, stir fried on the spot and for just $2, you will get a generous plate of carrot cake. Their carrot cake were smooth and soft, very flavorful, more on the sweet side. Lots of eggs were also added to it. Definitely must order when you visit this market.
