Singapore｜YY Kafei Dian

This is what I call classic soulfood breakfast, Singaporean style. The beehoon is great, pairs well with many many side dish like gohyong, fishcake and tofu. The egg tart is wonderful and the bread with kaya is light but heavenly. Their secret weapon is their wonderful, aromatic, full bodied coffee yet low acidic! It's simply a must. Word of caution, long lines in the morning.

This coffee shop bakes their own bread. So whenever you are here, you must try their kaya butter toasts. Besides that, they serve up delicious Hainanese Pork Chop and fried kway teow with beef too. Do be prepared for the long queues though especially during lunch or dinner timing. Definitely worth a revisit to try out other dishes on my next trip.

We are regular patrons here. We love the claypot seafood hor fun and yee mee. Their other zi char dishes and the chicken rice are nice too. The morning economic bee hoon is OK. Also love the donuts (not featured here because they sell out fast, right after they are being produced!) and toasted buns with kaya/peanut butter. The soft-boiled eggs are done well too! Won't say the coffee and tea are the best, but they are passable. Not yucky. The kopitiam is clean and spacious. There is usually a queue but it moves pretty fast. No credit card payment accepted here. The food is served fairly efficiently and the service is good. Popular with tourists.
