One of the most popular coffee shop near Tampines West MRT station. I visited Ah Hua's Kitchen on 2 May 2023. Very long queue. They sell economical bee hoon. They have bee hoon as 1 item, yellow mee and kway teow as another item. The economical bee hoon comes in 3 sizes, small, medium and large. They also sell nasi lemak. I ordered the medium one, mixture of bee hoon and kway teow with yellow mee, costs 1.50 (price@2023). I added a fried chicken wing, fried egg and some cabbage. The total cost is 4.10. It's a worthy amount at an averagely not too high price. I had eaten some at higher price with lesser amount. I ordered tau hway here (the stall further down) also at 1.30 (price@2023). Soy beancurb and soy milk both at the same price. Soy beancurb sold out most of the time before noon time. Served by a granny.

Best chicken rice in Tampines. Have been having this stall chicken rice for ages. Not being biased, had tried various stalls chicken rice, this one is value for money and rice so fragrant. Chicken meat so soft. They used to charge $2.00 for a plate of chicken rice and raised to $2.50 some time ago. With the recent higher cost of raw materials, fuel cost etc, they maintained their price. Surely gotta recommend this stall to you guys. I have moved out of Tampines 5 years ago and still come back here to get my chicken rice fix. Decided to tabao half a chicken for dinner today. Effective 1 June 2022, Malaysia will ban exportation of their fresh chickens to other countries to boost their domestic supply of chickens.

Liked the prata here, crispy and fluffy and fragrant, not oily at all. One of those shop that made their own dough. Mutton curry is thick and flavourful. Their puttu mayam is also placed on a steamer and therefore served hot, unlike some stalls that just served you cold, direct from the packaging. Their nasi briyani is also worth a try, no regrets. But only available on Sat and Sun. Be ready to wait for a table. The coffee shop is very packed at times, especially weekends.
