Malacca, Malaysia｜Mee Bodo Tengkera 2

Mon 25 Sep 2023 Earlier, I have been noticing this traditional Malay kampung eatery during my morning walk around the Taman Bukit Serendit residential area. The banner says it's the branch of the famed original Tengkera Mee Goreng (bodoh) and Nasi Kukus. I decided to drop in here for a takeout meal of their signature spicy fried noodle with sambal-rich egg. The place was clean and airy. It's almost packed with their regular patrons. I intended to try a pack and if it's as good as the original, l will pack more next trip. When one of the owners noticed that l was partially handicapped they decided to offer me an F.O.C. treat. What a generous and kind gesture of these hospitable and caring kampung folks! The service was tip-top with a great personal touch. The prices are affordable and wallet-friend. There are adequate parking spaces around the venue. High recommend!

First time ate mee bodoh. This mee is very famous. It tasted different from other fried noodles I have eaten before. Before eating you need to mix the noodles with vinegar and sweet soy sauce (kicap Manis) How much you wanted to add depends on your taste buds. After mixing it was very delicious 😋😋😋. They also sold nasi lemak kukus which was yummy. The teh tarik and hot teh O were tasty, too. Even though there were many customers the service was fast. After having their breakfast the customers left the place as there were many other people who also wanted to have their breakfast. No melepak -lepak here.

Simple food that is tasty and nice. Please come early as they close early at 11am. For month of Ramadhan they are open from 7.45pm to 11pm though
