More Comments at Google MapThis is the third time I've visited this restaurant. I didn't gave any comments on the first two trips because I need to ensure the consistency of the bak kut teh before I can comments. Furthermore it is a new restaurant and didn't want to give a wrong perception. Their soup has strong herbal taste but not oily (you can take a look at the picture taken by me) with the hint of sweetness where it will blend very well with their soy sauce, chili Padi and chop garlic. There's some MSG in it but not much (if were to compare to other bkt restaurant). Their meat was just nice, not too over cooked or under cooked. I also tried they (in Cantonese) 'kai choy' rice. I've never tried it together with bkt but it was savory when you add a two to three spoon of bkt broth into it. Lastly the lady boss allow me to add additional bkt soup because it was so good I finish the soup before I could finish the meat. I was surprised that the additional soup taste the same as the prepared in the claypot. Normally when you ask for additional soup (in other places) it taste different. They were so generous because they fill up more than half bowl in the claypot. And 'YES'!!!, I emptied two bowl of bkt soup and felt very satisfied. Fully recommended!!!
The first time I ate here, I thought it was a new restaurant. It turned out that it had been opened nearby for a long time, and then moved to this location~ Their soup is very flavorful. I usually order a pot of enoki mushrooms, fucuk, and vegetables outside. Usually the soup is very mushroom-flavored, but the one here does not. The bak kut teh soup is just as delicious... Dry bak kut teh, very fragrant~ There are very few places that have mustard rice, but they are available here. It tastes pretty good. You can finish the bowl of rice without any toppings by eating it alone. The landlady is very talkative and the service is very good. I will come again next time~
Their dry BKT is really tasty and charred well. Not too burnt, just nice with the flavour and fragrance. The dry sotong used inside is top notch and the vege inside the pot is also not overcooked like other places. I tried a bowl of soup and it's really herbally tasty. Nice for my taste. I shall make this one of my favourite BKT place.
