Tangkak, Johor, Malaysia｜TONG KEE BAK KUT TEH

Food was great, we went twice tried almost all the dishes. The dry bak kut teh, cheese dry bkt were my fav. The soup bkt had quite a strong herbal taste, not my fav but parents liked it. The sesame oil chicken was nice too, but I prefer the dry bkts. Chicken feet dish, pickled veggies and yam rice are worth trying too. Didn’t try the fried tofu. Coffee was meh, but the owner did inform us before hand it’s not fresh brewed, but made from steeping a pre-packed sachet. The owner/staff were quite patient explaining to us too on what/how to order. Parking may be quite difficult to find during peak hours, parallel parking right along the busy street.

Special cheese dry bak kut teh. Must tel them to add on cheese. The soup herbal taste quite strong. Overall quite nice.

There is good TIP at the end of my review! This was not my intended meal of choice, was visiting the next door famous Tangkak beef noodles and found out that this Ba Kut Teh was quite crowded too! You know what they say about crowded stalls and good food. Didn’t disappoint, broth was flavourful and pork ribs fresh. We added kidneys and other spare parts and portions are generous too. Worth trying. PRO TIP: you can order the beef noodles into the BKT shop but not vice Versa. Please Like my review if you think it had been helpful to you.
