The Bat Kut Teh here, true to Malaysian style, has a herbal broth base. However, note that it’s not a strong herbal base, making it really ideal for those who want a more lightweight breakfast. A must have is their you tiao. It’s really crispy and goes super well with the soup. Service is really fast. They also offer soup top ups (free of charge). Note you’ll have to make your own chilli sauce. They provide garlic, green and red chilli. Price-wise, it’s okay. Ordered 3 pax worth and all in spent 90 ringgit.

Have been going to restaurant shoon huat bak just teh for the last few years, but their standard had dropped. Purposely came to ah soon bak kut teh to try as we looking for a new place for our bkt. Highly recommend this place, nice food and great service by the lady boss. Not only the food is good but the price is cheaper too. The liver was good to almost perfection, unlike shoon huat, the liver was hard and fully cooked. If you have not try ah soon, is a place you must visit.

One of my favourite Bak Kut Teh joints in Johor Bahru. Very delicious. Nice pork ribs in savoury bak kut teh soup. Great with garlic and chilli... Friendly owners... If they have time to talk to you as they are very busy. Many customers, weekends, be prepared to wait for a table but once seated, they rarely disappoint. Can go eat.
