Walked past and saw a long queue. Signage reads $3 #ckt. Wow! even after renovations, price is the same. Even with my mask on I could smell the tempting aroma. How to resist? Solo uncle steadily fries each order plate by plate. Patiently waited 30 mins for this. Large portion with good wok hei and some chao ta bits. Uncle’s ckt is more peppery version. Taste and spiciness just hit the right spot. Each plate comes with hum, chinese sausage and whole egg. Definitely worth the wait and delicious!! Another old-school fried kway teow to enjoy!! 😋😋😋😋😋😋

Jul 2022, market reopened. CKT is still $3 with generous portions of Chinese sausage and 1 egg. Good wokhey although there are some charred bits as the frying was done with 大火. Opens 11am-3pm but there's always a queue as each order is prepared one by one. Closes on Tue and Fri. Good value overall.

Old skool one-man show char kway teow. Be prepared to wait as he won't take short cuts. Appreciate it as we are going to miss this kind of taste soon as more and more of the good old timers hang up their aprons. Excellent wok-hei and enough ingredients to balance it all out...and not too sweet which is a personal preference. Should charge more than $3 per plate!
