Singapore｜Long Beach @ ROBERTSON QUAY

Singaporean Chili Crab 🦀 and Black Pepper Crab were the foci of our meal. This was our key meal of the trip. We elected to have mud crab; a variety of flown in crabs were also available. The crabs are steamed, broken down, and then bathed in the relevant sauces. It is hard to choose a favourite style between the two as they were distinctly different. The chili sauce had bits of crab in it and had a heat that built up slowly. The black pepper sauce wasn’t spicy but rather very aromatic. We opted to wear bibs so we could get rightly messy with the sauce. We truly manifested our best crab 🦀 meal.

Visited on recommendation of someone who dined here earlier, and the Dungeness chilli crab certainly did not disappoint, fresh a d full of flavour, although I have a slight feeling that I've been served waaaaaay larger crab as a tourist, than a regular visitor normally would. Still - it was delicious, and an amazing first time experience with famous singaporean chilli crab.

The staff are super friendly and helpful. Food was amazing, we had chilli crab with garlic greens and fried mantou. The restaurant is on the quay front which is lovely. We got there early so the restaurant was quiet but as it got busier the atmosphere built.
