With three branches scattered across the island, this restaurant is renowned for its stellar tofu soup. You can take your pick from various proteins like beef, pork, or seafood. While there are alternative dishes like bibimbap or bulgogi for non-tofu enthusiasts, honestly, why would you venture here if not for the soothing allure of tofu soup? It's a must-try, deeply satisfying, and my friends who joined me even confessed that they occasionally sneak in for a solo, heartwarming meal.

Established in January 2017, SBCD Korean Tofu House, also known as Singapore Buk Chang Dong, is a casual Korean dining restaurant which specialises in Soondubu Jjigae / Silken Tofu Stew. The dining philosophy of SBCD Korean Tofu House is to serve uplifting, hearty, and wholesome Korean complete meals. . Ambience at SBCD Korean Tofu House is spacious, clean, modern, and minimalist. Light colour tones of earth, wood, beige, and brown for the furnishings, brightly lit by warm lights. The high ceiling and open concept, with tables widely spaced apart, feels welcoming and comfortable, despite the large seating capacity of over 100 people. . Service at SBCD Korean Tofu House is decent. Staff are friendly albeit soft-spoken, quickly welcoming and seating guests upon arrival. The menu is simple and clear, with basic descriptions and pictures, yet staff are well-versed with good product knowledge, able to describe dishes. Orders take a short while to fulfill, with a wait time of around 10 minutes or so. . Food at SBCD Korean Tofu House is authentic South Korean casual fare. The focus is on hand-made Soondubu Jjigae / Silken Tofu Stew, of which there are 10 different ingredient combinations, with their other speciality being grilled meats and seafood. Dishes are well-executed and consistently tasty, even after all these years. Portion sizes are medium to large. . Prices are comparable to most other restaurants, being mid-range, and reflective of the effort that goes into making these dishes. Budget about SGD $40 per person for a meal here.

The Korean Tofu Soup and Stir Fried Squid are delicious. Staff are attentive and friendly. The side dishes portion are tiny and not much variety compare to other Korean restaurants. Overall is good.
