Weight-Conscious Indulgence: Lemongrass-chilli Shaking Prawn Vermicelli and Shrimp on Sugarcane I always look forward to trying out the new menu from NamNam each year. Over the years, the new dishes created by Chef Nam, the founder, haven’t disappointment me. This year is no difference. The dish, presented in a straightforward bowl, exuded an inviting freshness that hinted at a thoughtful preparation. Beside it was a bowl of homemade dipping sauce. I asked Chef Nam how do I eat it? He told me to pour half of the dipping sauce into the vermicelli and mix them well, which I did. I took the first bite and was pleasantly surprised by how refreshing the dish was. Topped with the dipping sauce, the vermicelli noodles were a pleasant surprise. Perfectly cooked for that ideal balance of chewiness, the sauce’s tangy and slightly sweet profile gave the entire dish a zesty and refreshing taste. It's evident that the chef Nam and his team understand the importance of a well-crafted dipping sauce. The prawns were succulent and flavourful, and the blend of curry leaves, basil, and coriander imparted a lively, aromatic quality that enhanced every bite. The cucumber slices and peanuts from the dipping sauce provided a refreshing crispness, contributing to a well-rounded eating experience. You can tell how much I loved this dish from the picture of an empty bowl. I literally drank up all the sauce, too! 😅 To add icing on the cake, the balanced combination of lean protein from the prawns and the lightness of vermicelli makes for a satisfying yet weight-conscious choice. I think I can eat this dish every day. It's a dish that provides a taste of Vietnam without compromising on my health and weight goals, and I'll certainly be returning for another guilt-free indulgence.

Had lunch at the restaurant. Even though it was off peak, there was a small crowd. There was a promotional item, I think it’s around $10 for this egg dish with bread. It tasted delicious! You get to put your own sauces as well.

Nice and good! Two people with 2 mains and 1 banh mi around 45 SGD :) Banh mi is delicious~ spicy beef pho is quite spicy. If don’t eat spicy, better to order original and put chili themselves
