I’ve eaten here COUNTLESS times. In fact, I was eating their steamed chicken rice every week for a while. Their chicken rice is consistently good and never disappoints. The price is pretty reasonable at $3.50 for a small set as well. There are many options for chicken rice at Redhill Food Centre so if you’re spoilt for choices, try this stall.

Out of the many chicken rice stalls that I have tried, Rong Ji Traditional Hainanese Chicken Rice at Redhill Market is certainly one of the best in my opinion. 1 whole chicken is enough to feed 5 person. The chicken was drizzled in fragrant sesame oil and their special soy sauce. The rice was not too oily and every grain was infused with the chicken stock. Ordered fried bean sprouts and chicken liver and kidney to add Al more levels of texture and bite to your chicken rice meal. Be prepared for the queue during lunch rush hour.

For $3.00 a plate, this stall offers great value. Chicken is tender and fragrant from the sesame oil sprinkled. Although queues are long, it’s never beyond a 5 to 10min wait. You can self-serve as much ginger or chilly sauce as much as you want
