Singapore｜Seletar Sheng Mian and Mian Fen Guo 實里達生面•麵粉粿

Simple yet tasty. The fresh noodles is really good and chewy. No frills - minced and sliced pork makes the soup super tasty. The egg is runny and perfect. Excellent comfort food whenever you need that pick me up.

There are two sheng mian stalls with long queue. I choose this for dry version with chilli sauce. Sauce combination is nice and noodle texture is al dente and springy. Prawn is big and fresh. Dry version doesn’t come with egg. $4 portion plus $1 ingredients.

Both MHK and Sheng Mian are equally good, MHK is kneaded by hand upon order. Dry or soup, both are excellent choices! Only the soup version comes with egg in the indicated price. Personal preference is the dry version. Have been coming here since 2017. Lady boss may seem unapproachable, but she's actually quite nice! I also noticed that the male boss remembers many of his regular elderly customers and their orders. It's worth the queue, pls don't be deterred by it. Come early for breakfast if you can - if you would like to avoid long queues, they open early. Otherwise, come after 1pm (but usually MHK is sold out by then). Please manage your expectations for portions as rising food costs have been hard on our hawkers in general. I've found that MHK orders look smaller as compared to sheng mian in the bowl.
