Pin’s Kitchen is my favourite cze char stall in Kebun Baru Market and Food Centre. I have been patronising the stall for years ever since they were at a different location. My favourite dishes are the Prawn Paste Chicken and Mee Goreng. The Prawn Paste Chicken is one of their specialties and is easy to understand why. The juicy chicken wings are fried to golden crispness and you can taste the prawn paste it has been marinated in. It is served with a sambal belachan dip with heightens the flavour of the prawn paste. The Mee Goreng is made using Hokkien noodles instead of the usual yellow noodles. The noodles are fried al dente and has a good balance of chilli and tomato. Generous quantities of sliced fish, prawns and egg round up the dish. The lady boss who takes the orders can be a bit flustered sometimes especially when orders are coming in thick and fast (which shows you how popular they are) but she is always friendly.

Came here on a Sunday night 7pm. Called in advance to place our order as the wait time is usually quite long. They told us over the call that the wait time today is about 30minutes, very friendly staff. Food was awesome! Had curry fish head, pork ribs and veggies(not in pic). All three dishes were great.

My absolute favourite place to get zi char. The signatures curry fish head, herbal chicken and prawn paste chicken can never go wrong. There was extra care in packing the take away to make food does not turn soggy after reaching home. Do call in to order to avoid long queues, the herbal chicken has to be pre-ordered a day before.
