Singapore｜IPOH Old Street Tai Pai Tong

A zichar stall with some interesting and different dishes not found in other zichar stalls. Taste wise good, though we found it slightly salty. May try other dishes if we are in the vicinity.

Very cold weather feels like 21 degree. Just nice for a hot meal. Ordered steamboat with grouper at $28, a small claypot chicken rice $4 and horfun $4.50. The 3 dishes tasted amazing. The grouper was fresh but strangely they mixed with fried fish. Anyway it tasted good. The claypot rice was very well burnt and it tasted real nice. And lastly the horfun really surprised me. Got the wok hey aroma.

Overall is a gem in neighbourhood! Fried bee Hoon is very good, full of wok hey and aromatic, it’s the number 1 in 4 dishes we ordered. Fish head soup was so so and consider quite small portion. Fried shrimp cake not bad, very crispy, with whole shrimp in each half, but a bit pricey at $8 for 4 pcs. I just miss this Malaysia style fritters. Food came quite fast. Will come back next time to try more!
