Singapore｜Lagoon Famous Carrot Cake

This is an iconic food centre that has been around for as long as I can remember, perhaps since I was a kid. It is also a favourite gourmet food place for many - locals and tourists alike. Though I have been here countless times, this is the first time I noticed this stall selling popiah and it is so good. I am sure I will have it more often whenever I am here.

Very nice carrot cake, got the mixed for $6. It felt like two distinct dishes, with each it's own character. Can be improved if the kuay itself had more flavour.

Award winning popiah lives up to its name. Ingredient is fresh and popiah is wrapped neatly with just the nice proportion of radish and all the other mixes without being too wet. Recommended to have them dine in to get the best of it. Carrot cake is good as well with a choice of black and white if you can't make up your mind. Charred nicely and the savory or sweet taste was just on point depending on what you choose. Definitely one of the better ones around. Prices are reasonable considering the location being a tourist spot.
