This Japanese ex salary man turned Chinese fusion noodle entreprenuer is real deal. I went to this outlet and ordered this simple bowl of al dente noodles without oil which was perfect to my liking. There was no porky smell and everything tasted smooth on the palette. There were 3 pieces of sliced pork (see the photo) which reminded me of Japanese char siu of the ramen. There were also some bean sprouts, braised mushroom slices, pork balls and a good portion of minced pork. For $5, this was a good deal. These were

First time trying this stall. I ordered no. 2 on the menu, Japanese Fusion Char Siew Mee Pok Shoyu (Dry). I must say, it was delicious. There were more ingredients than meepok, at least it felt that way. The meepok was chewy, flavour was good, a bit on the sweeter side than the usual SG style, but I liked it. I think if u prefer more conventional SG style Bak Chor Mee, u can try no. 4. But don't take my word for it, cos I've not tried that yet. Just guessing ... The char siew was a bit too lean for me, I prefer a bit fattier, but it was very tender. Overall, very good! IMHO, it is better than 阿嬤吃面, at comparable price points. Will come back to try the other items on the menu!

Very fragrant and flavourful mee pok! 😁 Appropriately priced at $10 for thick cuts of pork 🥩 and the rich taste of japanese miso 🍜 and shoyu! Their soup is ridiculously delicious! The normal $5 mushroom mee pok 🍄🍜 has vibegar which makes the noodles sharp in taste and melts on your tongue. Plently of tender pork 🐽, mushrooms 🍄, and even some fake chewy abalone 🐳! More expensive than normal mee pok but gauranteed flavour and quality! Friendly staff 👨‍🍳 also :) accepts paylah, paynow, and other cashless options.
