Cooked to perfection by an old ah ma. Ordered a large bowl of fishball noodles and a small bowl of laksa. The fishball meepok has different layers to it and the fried pork lard is fried to lard heaven. The soup that comes with the dry noodles is full of old school fishballs, fish cakes and really taste bak cho (minced meat). The laksa taste averages at best but the cockles are really fresh. Went on Sunday afternoon 4pm and there’s about 4-5 ppl queueing and we are lucky because the stall is closed after we ordered.

I was expecting to queue for about 45 minutes on a Saturday morning, and in the end it was only 30mins, despite seeing big takeaway orders in front of me. It really way exceeded my expectation. The presentation looks very clean which is unlike many others with sauce splattered all round the bowl. The flavour is very wholesome and balanced - with lots of minced meat aromatic crispy pork lard. The owner was very obliging when I said I wanted my mee pok hard (al dente). Something that I will come back for again.

Bouncy and tasty fishballs. Noodles and gravies are well balanced. Minced meat is somewhat flossy, can't really feel the meat. The lean pork slices are very good though. The soup is above average but has some msg. I highly recommend you give it a shot if you are around Bukit Merah View.
