Singapore｜Zhen Ji Minced Meat Noodle

One of my comfort foods is Minced Meat Noodle. This bowl really takes it to another level. With the deep fried wonton and a good amount of liver in it. I am basically in heaven The noodles are nice and soft, not too hard. the ingredients are plentiful at any of their price points. the soup is rich and savoury, so good. I typically order the $4 to get the most of everything. it closes around 1pm so it's a breakfast or brunch type meal :)

My quest for early breakfast brought me to Bendemeer Food Centre at a really early hour - 4:30am! Not many stalls were ready for business, Zhen Ji was an exception. Ordered dry meepok, followed by a bowl of mee tai mak soup. Both were pleasantly delicious in their own right. Love their soup, full of ti po flavour! Highly recommend soupy noodle here.

Like clockwork, the couple managed their individual tasks, no fuss no hassle. Within the bowl, it consisted of lean and minced pork, liver, fish cake, pork ball, fish dumpling, deep fried wanton skin and braised mushrooms. The bowl of noodles was saucey and tasted lighter than it looked, even with an additional dollop of sambal. The noodles were cooked Al dente and the ingredients were fresh and had their place and taste. The soup is full of porcine flavor. Overall, a very well executed bowl. The queue is persistent and it took almost 20 mins for 7-8 people in front of me.
