Surprisingly the chicken is really tender and the sauce is great for something prepared from instant packaging. Traditional coffee is served with right with nice level of intensity. The food had 1 star dropped because they lacked consistency; some other times the herbal chicken wasn't as tender as I would like it to be

My favourite from this stall will be the soft tender beef stew which melts in the mouth. been a regular but have stop patronising for the time being as inflation hits, price of the stew have gone up to close to 25-30% increase.

Review for Laksa Set (Laksa + Drink): Flavourful Laksa is a Surprise at Ah Khoo. The Laksa gravy tasted as if it has a balanced “sweetness” from chicken & seafood. Topped with 2 very fresh pieces of grey prawns. It makes the savoury gravy so appetising & irresistible. Usually, I would expect much for food at the kopi places (& café) as my focus is more on the drink. Today, Ah Khoo surprised me. When I first received my order, it didn’t look very well plated. Next, when I scooped the laksa gravy, it looked “thin” (watery). Quite different from what I think a flavourful bowl of laksa should be with thick coconut cream. I thought, “Finished already..” (should not be nice). When I tasted the first spoon of the gravy, I was “shocked”. I wondered if I was having an illusion (or confused tastebuds). I confirmed it again with a 2nd spoon of gravy. It was really really flavourful! 🤩 Lesson learnt: Don’t judge a dish by looking at what others around you have ordered. Also, don’t assume it’s not nice until I have tried it myself.
