Singapore｜Meng Hup Eating House 明合餐室

Rustic neighbourhood coffeeshop. What blew my mind was the Hong kong roasted meat shop that served super tender roast pork belly (Shao rou) and roasted chicken. Comes with a bowl of soup that was boiled with love and so much goodness. Love it! The boss uncle came out to have a chat with us as well and that was a nice touch to our casual afternoon lunch discovery!

The roast duck is one of the best I have tasted. Succulent and juicy. The roast pork is not bad. But would be better if the skin was crispy.

The food from the wanton noodle stall, roast meats stall, and Muslim food stall are all quite good. Likewise, the service rendered by the said stalls and the drink stall (operated by the eating house) are not shabby. However, the eating house ambience could certainly be improved by a coat of paint.
