Singapore｜Keng Wah Sung Cafe

First time having breakfast here. The coffeeshop is located near City Plaza as it is just one bus stop away. The coffeeshop is filled with customers but I managed to find seats quickly. The staff are fast in service as in making the toasts and coffee or tea. I ordered a cup of Kopi Siew Dai, 2 slices of traditional kaya and butter toast and a plate of fried bee hoon with spring roll. The food is delicious and I love the butter in the toast as it is the melty type. I will definitely return to try out their wanton mee. Highly recommended place to have breakfast or brunch.

Great place to have a simple local breakfast. The food choices are: Butter kaya toast with runny eggs, economy beehoon/ kuey teow, mee siam, nasi lemak etc. The toast was good as they were generous with the butter and kaya. I also liked the texture of the bread. The mee siam was good too. The soup base isn’t overpowering. The hot beverages were good. The coffee aroma was great. Even though the cafe has a morning crowd, service was fast and efficient, including clearing of tables.

I’ve just moved to the area, love this little kaya toast place in this super old school coffeeshop! Toast sets are really affordable (starts at $3.80 for the basic one with kopi / kopi o and 2 soft boiled eggs, and goes for $4.10 for kopi c), and the kaya is out of this world — heaps better than yakun. Bread could be a bit more toasted but whatever, am not complaining for this price.
