Singapore｜China Whampoa Home Made Noodle

Had been patronizing the OG stall in Whampoa Balestier for 18 years and I am glad that this branch here is slowly getting up to speed with its soup. When it first started, I felt it was a tad too bland. Now it’s alright! When lady boss is cooking, even better! Love the super chilli super, spicy die me! But worth the kick. Be warned! I always ordered extra fish MAW, egg, mani leaves, and if in the mood, more minced meat. It’s really damn shiok with the soup. Be fair la, they are busy some still want extra chilli this and that, do it yourself.

First time coming to to new hawker and Ordered the soup ban mian since it was always long queue and ran out in the main shop. The soup is tasty, sweet to the taste and the prawn is fresh. The chilli is really the killer. Even with soup, just dap the meat or prawn or noodle with the chilli and it’s superb. A bit pricy for the portion though. Thus 1 star taken.

Surprisingly yummy soup stock. Perfect for a simple meal. Both soup and dry options are nice. Mee hoon kueh has a nice chewy texture and the home made chilli sauce adds a nice punch.
