Singapore｜Chung Cheng Chilli Mee/崇正辣椒面

The $5 bowl comes with a lot of pork and prawn, look at the mountain in my bowl and you know it is very worth it! The noodles are cooked just nice, not that saucy so a tad dry, but flavour wise is on point. The chilli is generous but not super spicy, just nice for me (for reference Mcspicy is more spicy than this). The soup is also really flavourful. Overall a really hearty meal 😋 Normally closes at 6.30pm but we came at 7.30pm and it was still open.

Not your ordinary “Prawn Mee noodle”. The soup is more of a peppery light pork rib/shrimp base rather than a thick pork/shrimp base. Pork rib was tender. Shrimp was juicy. And their chilli is too perfect. To me it seems the chilli was created for this dish. This is one highly recommended dish if you’re at this food centre. Will definitely come back here and bring my family and friends. Kudos to the Auntie and Uncle behind this dish.
