Singapore｜Song Fa Bak Kut Teh Waterway Point

Always love song fa bak kut teh. This time, I went to the Song Fa Bak Kut Teh at Waterway Point. I went at dinner time so there was a very long queue. Waited for more than half an hour to get a seat inside. The environment is quite noisy as there were a lot of people. I ordered fragrant garlic fried chicken, premium pork rib bak kut teh, braised pork intestines, and royal garden tea. Always love the soup here. it's very good flavor pepper style soup. The fragrant garlic fried chicken is really good, too. Love the taste. Will definitely recommend it to anyone going to Song Fa. Although there are a lot of people but service was fast. The food came very fast too.

Soup is thick, peppery and tasty. You don’t have the thirsty feel even after a few bowls of soup. Love the you tiao, it is serve crispy. Came 8:40pm last soup refilled at 9pm. So didn’t manage to enjoy much. Service is good and efficient.

Excellent service. Better than a lot of other restaurants. Staff are friendly, attentive, ask if you want soup regularly etc. The soup base is more peppery but less salty/tasty than Old Street. I prefer it as it does not taste too "msg-ish". The you-tiao is the crispy type (almost like fried wanton). I prefer Old Street's as it's more old-school/original. Nonetheless, some will like the ultra crispy one that Songfa offers. 5 stars for the first class service and dining experience.
