Singapore｜Song Fa Bak Kut Teh (Velocity @ Novena Square)

I like both M'sia & SG BKT, obviously different but unique in it's own way. M'sia is herbal, SG is peppery. Food & service is great, the restaurant is clean & ambience is good

Song Fa serves a consistent Bak Kut Teh plus a small selection of tasty sides. The quality of Bak Kut Teh can be very subjective, but I would recommend anyone with a preference for spicy Bak Kut Teh to give it a go. If you like it, you'll have a consistent chain of decently priced Bak Kut Teh in your back pocket. Some nitpicking: the tables are a bit too small. They try to compensate with good lighting, I think anyone with an average or larger frame would feel at least a little cramped when seated. There is no option to remove the cuttlefish garnish from the Spicy Pork Belly, so that dish is off-limits to anyone with a seafood allergy or is otherwise sensitive to the taste of seafood.

Best tasting prime rib soup Bak Kut Teh was refilled 3 times when we are there and braised large intestines really smooth and melts in the mouth with no bad taste 😊
