More Comments at Google MapYesterday Saturday 16.11.2019, my KL friends drove me there for their famed Sang Har Hor Fann (live prawn in flat kwayteow). But my best dish which was not in the menu was a Munn Sang Meen ( see photo) which was recommemmed by the chef's wife. The dish came first, plain looking, with sparingly pcs of pork, oblong fish cake, cabbage and topped with sprinkling of crispy pork lard. It was very tasty, in fact i thought it was better than the instagramable Sang Har Meen or Yau Chum Tilapia The chinese (cantonese) name of the place as printed on the 3 laminated pages of menu is Seem Chye Farn Tim, literally meaning "Siamese Boy Rice Shop" So i went to the kitchen area & asked the chef / owner, Ah Chan why siamese ah? In cantonese he tap on his hands and said look at my skin, it's dark yes? (See photo). Yep it was. Ah Chan and brother came from Kedah, with Thai ancestory. His son (an university undergraduate on holiday helping out parents) said his father's name is Tan Chuen Ann
The "ancient taste" that I grew up with. Every dish is delicious, delicious and delicious. Every time I visit, I will never miss a dish of African fish soaked in oil. The tender meat and the right sauce make people have endless aftertaste. What you taste here is not only delicious but also delicious. a memory
Good food, good service, roadside parking, can be very busy on weekend. But overall. Worth it!!
